SSCA Presents: Ken Rice Saxy Sinatra Show Featured

Due to my pneumonia the past three weeks, Nicole Farrell has suggested I get in touch with you to help promote this Menifee/Sun City event. Your assistance with this promotion will be greatly appreciated by us and the Sun City Civic Association.

Patrons will be given free coffee, punch, water and are allowed to bring their own Their own food, snacks, appetizers, and thermos.

 FYI... Ken Rice is often compared to Kenny G., Boots Randolf, and his personal favorite, King Curtis. He plays sax and sings great vocals from his heart with all of his undeniable “soul”.  People will be completely entertained at every gig, large or small. From the largest Auditorium to your back yard. 

Thus, When Ken Rice performs His Sinatra Songs, the audience is always overwhelmed and responds accordingly.  Be it Love, Happiness, or sorrow, Ken's renditions of Sinatra never disappoint. His soul is obvious, as are his emotions while performing. Everyone loves to dance to his Smooth or High Energy Tunes.

  Joined at the lips to his beloved sax, this music man has a long list of celebrities with whom he has sung, jammed or opened for, including select members of the San Diego Symphony, Robert Gordyof Motown, The Stylistics, Little Richard,  Billy Preston, Smoky Robinson, Harry Dean Stanton, Gloria Gaynor, Ella Fitzgerald,  Johnny Depp, Slash,  Harold Melvin & the Blue Notes live in Berlin, Thelma Houston, Johnny Hodges, Cat Anderson, POCO, Freida Payne (Band of Gold) Jay McShan, Marvin Gaye (Golden Hall San Diego 1 year before his passing) The Chi-lites with Barry White in Germany. Grammy nominee Shanice, violinist Karen Briggs and bandleader Tito Puente Jr.

Music saved his life during Vietnam War. He was headed for Special Forces, and ready to be shipped out. His commanding officer walked by his tent that night and heard him quietly playing his saxophone. He went into the tent, then after being saluted by Ken, he asked him if he could put a band together. Ken Saluted again and said "Yes Sir" because several of his Army buddies played musical instruments. Thus began The 7th Signal Brigade Communicators. He never fired a shot, And Opened for and backed up all the greats for USO shows and received his 1st Presidential Citation for his service. Therefore, Music saved his life, and all those who joined his band.

Because he volunteers for many fund raisers in his community, On July 20th 2014, And Again in 2016 he was presented with THE PRESIDENT'S CALL TO SERVICE AWARD, and letters of Congratulations signed by Presidents of The United States which he proudly displays in His Little Shop of Horns in Temecula.

Lead Singer & Sax man, Ken Rice knows all phases of the Music Business He is the owner /operator / repair man at the Little Shop of Horns in Temecula 27780 Jefferson St for over 18 years. His business and musical references are enormous and can be verified.
