In July, the Menifee City Council opted to hold a Special Election to fill the vacant 3rd District seat previously held by Councilmember Wallace Edgerton, who passed away in May. The Menifee City Clerk/Elections Official, reminds voters that the Special Election held on November 3 is less than a month away and will elect a City Councilmember to District 3 for the remainder of that term, expiring November 2016. Registered voters have begun to receive the sample ballots in the mail. The Menifee City Clerk’s office encourages voters of the 3rd District to attend candidate forums or research the official candidates before voting. The City does not endorse or support any candidate.

The City Seal shall not be used on any graphics or materials produced by any candidate, business or others as it is the registered seal of the City for official City business. All registered voters are encouraged to review their Official Sample Ballot before voting, and if you have not received your sample ballot, please contact the Registrar of Voters office for more information at or (951) 486-7200. Ballots must be received at the Registrar of Voters office or any Riverside County polling place by 8 PM on Election Day or be postmarked on or before Election Day and received no later than three days after Election Day to be counted.

If a registered voter would like to “drop off” their Vote-By-Mail ballot early, up until the Election Day, they may do so at the Menifee City Hall or the Registrar of Voters, to name a few locations. For questions or for more information regarding the Rules of Conduct in an election, please contact the City Clerk, Kathy Bennett, at (951) 672-6777 or by email This email address is being protected from spambots.
