Temecula Valley Symphony Chorus was formed in June of 2015 under the umbrella of Temecula Valley Symphony (formerly known as Inland Valley Symphony).  The chorus began rehearsals in September under the Artistic Direction of Conductor Eric Rea and performed with the Symphony on their annual Veterans Day and Christmas Concerts in Temecula.

The chorus rehearses on Monday evenings at the beautiful Murrieta Springs Seventh Day Adventist Church in Murrieta.  Under Eric's creative direction, the chorus continues to grow as its members find the rehearsals to be educational, challenging, and incredibly enjoyable.  They look forward to expanding their ranks, particularly in the bass and tenor sections, and will be holding auditions for the 2016-2017 Season during August of this year.  The Chorus welcomes all experienced singers with a love for choral music to consider auditioning and becoming a part of this high quality vocal ensemble. To set up an audition please call the Chorus Manager at 951-491-9392.

The Temecula Valley Symphony Chorus is pleased to present its debut choral concert on April 16, 2016 (Saturday) at 4:00 pm and would like to invite you to share the experience.  Venue:  Grace Presbyterian Church, 31143 Nicolas Rd., Temecula. Tickets to “TAPESTRY of VOICES” are available at the door, online at or by calling 951-587-1536.   The Chorus will also be featured on the Temecula Valley Symphony’s Season Finale concert on May 21st at 2:00 pm at Temecula Valley High School’s Golden Bears Theater.  For more concert details see the ad in this publication.

Meet Conductor and Artistic Director, Eric Rea

Conductor Eric Rea is not only honored to be leading the new Symphony Chorus in their inaugural year but he is also the new Chair of the Music Department at Mt. San Jacinto College in Menifee where he directs the College Singers, and teaches music theory and voice. Prior to the full-time appointment at MSJC, he was on the faculty of Riverside City College for 4 years, teaching voice and serving first as Assistant Director and then Conductor of the Riverside Master Chorale. He is a member of the American Choral Directors Association, and the National Association of Teachers of Singing.

Before relocating to California in 2010, Eric taught for 4 years in the choral and voice departments of Bob Jones University in Greenville, South Carolina.  He has directed High School summer camp and festival choirs, and served as a choral clinician for schools and churches in Southern California, South Carolina, Florida, Ohio, and Sydney, Australia.  An award-winning baritone and accomplished accompanist, he has performed in duo concerts with his wife in the Golden Valley Music Society’s “Classics at the Merc” series, as a soloist with the Temecula Valley Symphony, and as a member of Rivertree Singers, the Temecula Valley Master Chorale, and the Riverside Master Chorale.

With degrees in both Music and Theology, Eric is also an active Assistant Pastor at Grace Bible Church of Menifee – the reason he and his wife moved to CA in the first place. In addition to his busy schedule Eric enjoys biking, dabbling in composing, and especially cherishes spending special time with his wife Heidi Jeanne and son Xander, who joined the family in November 2014.
