On Thursday, June 2nd, Hillary Clinton was in Perris, California at local restaurant, Casa Jimenez, to speak to a group of political leaders and prominent figures in the community. Clinton arrived right on time at 6:15 pm and sat down in a table in the middle of the room with the panelists.

Clinton started out by graciously thanking everyone for being there before being introduced by Congressmen, Mark Takano, and spoke about everything Clinton has accomplished as the First Lady, Secretary of State, and Senator of New York. Most notably, Councilwoman Tonya Burke asked about how Clinton was going to help put Perris on the map which was followed by loud cheers from the crowd which led Clinton to tell her “you’re a great politician!” and answered the question by saying that creating more jobs will generate buzz and grant them growth and exposure for the community.

The question stood out because Perris is a small and struggling community and it so it was a surprise that Clinton visited, it was a monumental experience for the city of Perris to say the least. After the panelists finished, students, local, small business owners, and school board members told her what they wanted to see next for not only the community of Perris but for the country. Protestors and supporters alike waited for Hillary Clinton outside in anticipation and were not shy in voicing their opinions. For more of the story and in depth look at what Hillary discussed with the community leaders and panelists as well pictures and interviews, please check out Menifee Buzz Newspaper.
